How Does The
Process Work?

Check In:
Bring your equipment to SportsWash or any
authorized drop zone convenient to you. We will inspect your equipment, record items to be cleaned and provide a receipt. Your complete
order is placed into a numbered red plastic bag ready for loading into the wash
system.

Loading:
Your
equipment is loaded into a protective mesh bag which safely secures your gear
during the cleaning and sanitizing process. Special attention is given to ensure
that your equipment will be positioned in the bag to ensure the best cleaning
results.

Cleaning:
Stage 1:
TAK1 Detergent -
Enzyme based detergent
breaks down
organic compounds and odor causing contaminants
inside
the equipment eliminating the awful smell.
Stage 2:
Penetrator Detergent
- Works deep into
the foam and
fabrics breaking down stains and foreign bodies like
mucus, blood, sweat, dander, fungus, bacteria and
mold.
Stage 3:
Force Additives -
Eliminates contaminates
to prevent players from
being exposed to agents that can be hazardous to
their health. Bacterial
rash and fungal infections are just a few of the
more common problems
seen from wearing unclean protective gear.
Stage 4:
Signature Additive -
Final fragrance
is added to the last rinse of
the process to compliment the cleaned equipment with
a clean and fresh
scent.

Drying:
Your equipment comes out of the machine smelling
fresh and clean. The equipment has approximately 10%
moisture content at this stage to keep leathers soft
and prevent overheating of plastics and foam used in
the equipment. A final stage on the finishing rack
and the equipment is ready to go back to the player.
